"I'm here, please send me."

At Charlie Kirk's memorial service, Erika mentioned a memorable scene: Two years ago, Charlie publicly proclaimed Isaiah 6:8 on stage:

"I'm here, please send me."

This sentence is not light. Before the prophet Isaiah said this, he saw God's holiness, confessed his sins, and received forgiveness. He was then sent to speak to the hard-hearted people—a mission destined to be lonely and difficult. Jewish tradition also records that Isaiah eventually died a martyrdom (cf. Hebrews 11:37).

Therefore, "send me" is a response that is willing to pay the price for God. It means not seeking applause or security, but giving oneself no matter what the road lies ahead.

Charlie's announcement on the stage has become a footnote in his life now. His days were short, but he responded to this call with courage and action.

For us, this is both a comfort and a challenge: If Isaiah could have paid for his life, if Charlie could have declared, "Please send me" in a limited time, would we be willing to do so today?

"And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?' I said, 'Here I am, send me!' (Isaiah 6:8)

Are you a good person?
