Are you weak?

In these fast-paced, stressful times, we often feel like we're not good enough or even feel weak and helpless to change the status quo. Many times, we think, "If I could work harder, or become more perfect, maybe I would be loved and accepted." But Romans 5:6-8 gives us a completely different answer.

"While we were weak, Christ died for us."

God loves us not because we are doing well, but because He chooses to love us and even sacrifice His life for us even when we are still struggling and making mistakes. What an amazing love!

What a precious gift it is to have someone willing to give everything for you when you are at your most vulnerable and helpless. God's love is exactly that, not when we are perfect, but when we are not perfect, but when we are still falling, we are already in love with us.

What does this mean for our lives today?

  • First, when you feel that you are not good enough and unacceptable, remember that God has already loved you unconditionally. This love is not earned through hard work, but by God's unsolicited grace.
  • Second, this love gives us the strength to face life's challenges. Knowing that someone still loves us when we are at our weakest can be courageous enough to stand up and move on.
  • Finally, it is also a reminder to learn to treat those around us with the same love, especially those who are weak and in need.

In this world of uncertainty and anxiety, Romans 5:6–8 gives us a solid hope that God's love will not diminish because of our failures, but will appear more real and powerful when we need it most.

Are you a good person?
